Welcome to our Missouri Tennis team
blog!
I had been debating in my head for
a while whether or not to start a blog for a few reasons. First, the most
obvious reason is that school and tennis keep me pretty busy all year long so I
did not know if I would have time to post as frequently. Another reason is that
I did not want it to be an “obligation” (homework is already more than enough
on that :/ ) At the same time I realized those were only excuses and since our
team motto has now been for a while “NO EXCUSES” I ultimately decided I wanted
to give it a shot.
One of the many things that make me
so proud to be a Missouri Tiger is the family environment that revolves around
this school and our tennis program. Being a senior on the team makes me not
only appreciate more and more all the people that are so involved in this
program (student-athletes, coaching staff, MTC staff, parents, siblings,
grandparents, friends) but also makes me want to give back to them in any way I
can. Throughout the years I have played at Mizzou, I’ve noticed that our family
grows each year. While freshmen bring in new family members and friends to be
apart of our team, we have also been able to maintain and increase an
incredible fan base that supports us all year long wherever we play.
Since each of the girls on our team
are so far away from home here at Missouri (I may be a little farther than most, sorry
mom & dad) this blog can also serve as a way to bring us all together and
show some of the activities, trips and fun things we will do as a team
throughout the year. With this, I also cannot forget to mention our alumni that
are spread around the nation and the world and that we want to keep sharing
things with (Alex Clark it might be time to come back to the US? We miss you
<3)
